Manipur Press Club
The Manipur Press Club is owned and managed by the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU). A Management Committee looks after and manages the affairs of the Press Club under the guidance and supervision of the AMWJU’s Standing Committee. The Management Committee comprises AMWJU Vice President as its Chairman, Press Club Secretary and Five members nominated from the Union members.
The following persons were appointed as the Manipur Press Club Management Committee for 2023-2025 tenure:
- Raj Nongthombam (Impact TV, Vice President AMWJU) - Chairman
- Ngangbam Sanjoy (ISTV, Secretary MPC) - Secretary
- Konthoujam Geeta Devi(Imphal Times) - member
- Pukhrambam Kabita (ISTV) - member
- Shanti Salam (Kangla Pao) - member
- Haobam Pravinkumar (Ichel Express) - member
- Raiping Keishing (The Morning Bell) - Member
Membership
The Manipur Press Club shall have the following categories of members
a) Primary Members: All member of the Union shall become Primary members of Press Club
b) Associate Members: The following categories of persons may become Associate members of the Manipur Press Club on payment of prescribed fees:
i) Proprietors/Directors/Managing Editors of newspapers and news-media organizations
ii) Journalists belonging to government media organizations and electronic media. (Doordarshan, AIR etc)
iii) Former Journalists, Feature writers/Contributors and media personalities
The Management Committee fixes the amount of the membership fees from time to time with the approval of the Standing Committee.-
